I previously expressed dissatisfaction with Dolly and Highland Homes because our earnest money deposit was not returned when my husband and I decided not to purchase a home.

A plumber found loads of drywall shoved down in the tub drain. Of course this company offered no apology for anything. Really upset that company isn’t responsible for installation of A/C unit. How could we prevent the pipes rubbing together due to vibration of the machine causing a hole to leak out coolant. My husband and I have called this house the Money Pit. Our moderators read all reviews to verify quality and helpfulness.

The sales rep and our realtor both told us our earnest money deposit for our contingent contract would be refunded if we were unable to sell our home in time and follow through to purchase the home. Due to a significant slow down in the market, our home took longer to solidify a contract and our contingency expired. When we did finally get a contract on our home, the Highland Home we were previously contracted for was still available for purchase.

Then the bathroom the tiles lifting off the green starting to spread. They took down half the tiles and decided it was the pan cause we had sand coming up in the one corner; new pan tiles broke shower door so they had to replace it. The tiles were not set straight by the toilet or under the lip grout cracking off little pieces leaving space for ants to crawl in. We went on the lani to see if we can see anything... We saw a worker and asked him what it was.
I could not recommend their build quality, staff professionalism, and "make it right" attitude any more than this. Why would you lie to a customer and murder their dream? Never in my wildest dreams did I think that I'd have to back out on my dream house, which I'd invested so much time, money, and energy. With my current lease expiring in a few days, and no home, I am without another option and I have nowhere to go. I am very very dissatisfied with highland homes. Never in my life, I will recommend highland homes to anyone. Location, home designs, features and prices are subject to change without notice.
